How to play

Everyone gets the same secret word, except one player. Take turns describing the word out loud without ever saying it. The imposter has to blend in using only what everyone else says. Then you vote.

There are four games in the app, and they all work that way with a different twist.

Playing on separate phones

One person hosts, everyone else joins. You can connect over the same Wi-Fi, or over Bluetooth when there is no Wi-Fi at all.

Nobody can find my room

• Everyone needs the app open, on the join screen.
• On Wi-Fi, every phone must be on the same network. Guest networks at cafes and hotels often block phones from seeing each other, and there is nothing an app can do about that. Bluetooth works in that situation.
• On Bluetooth, keep the phones within a few metres and make sure Bluetooth is switched on.
• If you refused a permission prompt, the app cannot search. Turn Bluetooth or Local Network back on for Faker in iPhone Settings.

Somebody dropped out mid game

Their seat is kept and the game stops waiting on them, so the round carries on. If they reopen the app they come back to the same seat with their score.

The host left

The room closes for everyone, because the host's phone was running the game. Any player can start the same room again in one tap.

I paid and it is not showing

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase. There are no accounts in Faker, so your purchase lives with your Apple ID. Restoring is how it comes back on a new phone or after a reinstall.

Cancelling

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.

Privacy

There are no accounts and no server. What you type stays on your phone. Full detail on the privacy policy.
